Millers Wharf, London, Modification Works​

Cooltech carried out modifications to the existing kitchen hot and cold water supplies in a London Penthouse suite as the existing pipework had deteriorated and had started to leak.

There were obstacles from the start as the pipework was recessed into the partition walls behind the kitchen cupboards and drawer units.

We overcame this by removing the dishwasher and the back from some of the cupboards and re-routing the pipework at low level, surface mounted on the partition wall, in the space between the floor and the bottom of the cupboards. This was extremely difficult but the outcome was really effective.

There were also smoke detectors linked in with the landlords fire alarm system, this could not be isolated due to 21 apartments being linked to the one system.

We overcame this by using crimped fittings so no hot works needed to be carried out.

Works were carried out from 6.30am – 10pm to ensure the job was completed quickly, creating minimal disruption to the owners and their living space. The clients were delighted with the standard of work, our flexibility to adhere to the times they wished the works to be carried out in and said they will definitely be returning to us for any future modifications the wish to make on their home.
